Environmental Commitment
The Hormel Foods Environmental Excellence program requires our engineering team to audit nearly 40 facilities using a strict 15-page checklist that monitors numerous items including air emissions, energy use, and solid waste and recycling.
Hormel Foods Locations Receive AMI Worker Safety Awards
On April 7, 2009, eighteen Hormel Foods locations were honored with Worker Safety Awards by the American Meat Institute. The primary goals of the program are to motivate participating facilities to improve their safety performance and to recognize those locations that have achieved a high level of safety performance.
The awards are earned based on an evaluation of each eligible facility’s safety performance, as well as its implementation of an effective safety and health program.
