The Hormel Foods Environmental Excellence program requires our engineering team to audit nearly 40 facilities using a strict 15-page checklist that monitors numerous items including air emissions, energy use, and solid waste and recycling.
2009 Supermarket News Fresh Market Category Excellence Award - Company to Watch
Hormel Foods was named the Company to Watch for Hormel® Natural Choice® pork loin filets at the 2009 Supermarket News Fresh Market Category Excellence Awards.
Winners of the Supermarket News Category Excellence Awards were chosen based heavily on strength of brand and assortment. Other criteria included tying in consumer trends, in-store execution methods, new promotions, partnerships with celebrity chefs, category management efficiencies and innovation through recipe offerings. This is the second year that Supermarket News has presented the award.
