Dan’s Prize
Dan's Prize, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary, is headquartered in Gainesville, Ga. and operates manufacturing plants in Long Prairie and Browerville, Minn. Dan's Prize was founded in 1986 by Dan Hitchcock, Jim Smith, Bob Uhlenkamp, Vern Noland and Ed Johnson.
Dan’s Prize produces roast beef, corned beef, prime rib, pastrami and other cooked meats for foodservice and deli operators.
Hormel Foods acquired Dan's Prize in 1991.
