Lloyd’s Barbeque Company, established in 1978 by Lloyd Sigel, began with a unique passion and a singular vision. Lloyd’s love of barbeque was famous in his town. He was the first to break out the grill in the spring and the last to pack it in when fall came. His ‘cue was the best in town, and rather than trying to beat him at his own game, the other dads would happily line up every Sunday with the rest of Lloyd’s neighbors for their share of his ribs and pulled pork. Lloyd loved barbeque, and he loved to share it.

One day Lloyd was transferred out of town with his family. He tried to ship his ribs back to his friends for the weekends, but that solution was short-lived. That’s when Lloyd had what was, by all accounts, his brilliant vision. Twenty years ahead of the market, Lloyd set out to create delicious, authentic barbeque ribs, precooked for his friends’ convenience. Lloyd pioneered a new category by developing a unique vacuum-packed, fully-cooked barbeque rib ready to heat and eat in minutes. It was a perfect solution, and his friends (and eventually his growing group of loyal customers) were overjoyed.

Through years of dedication, Lloyd managed to painstakingly capture the secret of making and packing a restaurant-quality rib to be enjoyed anytime, anywhere. The ribs became a huge success, so he broadened his offerings to include Lloyd’s® barbeque buckets, in which he packed his famous shredded meat (fully-cooked) in his signature sauce into a heatable, resealable bucket.

The Secret is in the Sauce

Each slab of ribs is slow-cooked in hickory smoke, slathered in Lloyd’s famous barbeque sauce and then carefully hand-packed. Lloyd’s barbeque buckets are also full of shredded meat slow-cooked in hickory smoke and covered in Lloyd’s famous sauce. As American as apple pie, they’re the perfect barbeque solution for the time-pressed cook and family.
