Product Manager – Meat Products
Hormel Foods Corporation has an opportunity for a Product Manager in our Meat Products Marketing division located in Austin, MN. As a Product Manager, you will develop and execute marketing plans for the Value Added Fresh Meats portfolio and will work with fresh meat products which require the ability to manage the supply chain and perishable inventory.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and communicate brand marketing plans to meet approved volume and profit objectives and to accomplish long-term strategic growth. These plans include advertising, promotion, and pricing components.
- Develop and introduce new product and line extension opportunities.
- Work closely with other members of Meat Products Marketing and various Hormel Foods’ functional representatives such as Research & Development, Operations, Accounting, Purchasing, Consumer Insights, Foodservice and Sales to assure coordination of projects.
- Work with advertising agency to develop and implement advertising plans and sales training materials for assigned products.
- Monitor product integrity and quality standards to assure that all aspects of product and packaging conform to requirements.
- Work closely with sales and retail customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified candidates will posses a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in marketing or sales related experience in the retail area.
- Must have knowledge of fresh meat sales and/or marketing.
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in A.C. Neilsen data.
- Strong cross-functional team leadership skills.
· Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have a valid work visa.
