Accounting Internship
Brief Job Description:
Hormel Foods Corporation has accounting internships available at our Corporate Office in Austin, Minn. This internship is an excellent opportunity for an accounting student to gain exposure to the private accounting sector. This full-time, 40 hours per week internship will begin in May or June and run for approximately three months.
The interns will report to a senior member of the Controller’s staff and focus on assignments within one of the following areas: cost accounting, general accounting, audit, or external reporting/SEC. Qualified candidates will have at least Junior status and an Accounting major with a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement. The positions require strong analytical and communication skills. A requirement of this position is to be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident or have a valid work Visa.
Hormel Foods’ interns gain real world experience by performing the duties of their full-time counterparts. They manage projects independently and obtain constructive feedback from supervisors through a formal review program.
Compensation:
Compensation consists of a competitive salary, paid housing and reimbursement of all expenses incurred on the job.
