Accounting
Employees in accounting undergo comprehensive training and are then assigned a managerial
position in cost accounting, general accounting, or internal auditing. These challenging
roles allow opportunities to make management decisions at various levels and work
with personnel from different areas of the company.
Engineering
We invest in the most technically sophisticated food manufacturing equipment in
the industry and in our people who provide innovative ideas to increase productivity,
lower costs and maintain plant efficiency. As a result, we are able to meet the
high-quality standards we’re known for and lead the industry in sustainability practices.

Information Technology
Technology is crucial to everything we do at Hormel Foods. As a Programmer Analyst,
you’ll take responsibility for developing, installing and maintaining all of our
computer applications. In this position, you will be tasked to work with cutting-edge
technologies that will continue to develop and evolve.
Operations
Our state-of-the-art production facilities provide a perfect training ground for
your professional growth. You’ll start at the Production Supervisor level and rotate
departments to broaden your knowledge of our operations. Beyond training, you’ll
experience further responsibility in new positions as you grow within Production
Management. Because of our promote-from-within policy, you can move into different
departments as Production Supervisor, or become a Lead Supervisor, Superintendent
or Plant Manager.
Quality Assurance Management
For more than 120 years, we have built our reputation on having products of the
highest quality. We consider our attention to Quality Assurance a big part of our
success. This position challenges employees to manage the processes and safety issues
that are critical to the food industry. You will be empowered to provide creative
solutions to improve our performance and our products.
Sales
Our sales offices are located in more than 25 major cities across the country. You’ll
start as a sales representative in our Consumer Products Sales or Foodservice Sales
area for six to twelve months while training, and then typically be promoted to
Territory Manager. You’ll have responsibility and ownership of brands frequently
number one or number two in the market. We also provide solid marketing support,
budgets, and the mentoring and training you need to help you increase your sales.
