Description:
Hormel Foods Corporation has an exciting opportunity for an
intern in our Consumer Insights department This full-time, 40 hours per
week internship will be located in our Corporate Office in Austin,
Minn., and will begin in May 2008 and run through the summer.
Hormel
Foods Consumer Insights will assign a complete consumer research
project for the intern to manage from planning through execution and
management reporting. This project would also include development of
situation analysis using syndicated and past research tools available
at Hormel Foods and commonly used by the researchers on
staff.
Hormel Foods’ lean, flat organization will allow direct
involvement in cross-functional teams and visibility with upper
management. The Company’s track record in new product development, plus
a recent increased commitment to NPD, has created high visibility and
expectations for the Consumer Insights department.
In addition to close involvement with key department personnel
for guidance, there are numerous opportunities to interact with all
parts of the organization, including presenting to senior
management.
Qualified candidates will have at least Junior status and be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Marketing Research, with a minimum 3.25 GPA. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated leadership and persuasive skills, strong work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit. A requirement of this position is to be a Citizen of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have a valid work Visa.
Compensation:
Compensation consists of a competitive salary, paid
housing and reimbursement of all expenses incurred on the
job.
