Production Manager, Bilingual (Spanish & English) – Midwest

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hormel Foods has exciting opportunities for entry level Bilingual (Spanish/English) Production Supervisors in our various operations facilities including Atlanta, GA; Austin, MN; Beloit, WI; Fremont, NE; Osceola, IA; Stockton, CA; and Dold Foods in Wichita, KS. The production supervisor will be responsible for the success of a department in the manufacturing plant. The position involves managing approximately 15-30 employees and leading them to achieve safety, productivity and quality goals. This includes scheduling products, coordinating transportation and supplies, verifying daily inventories, enforcing company policies, planning monthly meetings, and motivating employees. Production supervisors make all departmental decisions; it is like running a business within a business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A requirement of this position is to be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have a valid work Visa and open to relocation. Preferred candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, AgBusiness, Management, Operations, Industrial Management, or a related field with at least a 2.70 cumulative GPA and strong communication skills in both Spanish and English. Proven leadership, persuasive, and initiative skills are necessary for success in this position.

TRAINING:

New supervisors spend about six weeks in a training environment before being promoted to a department. The training program consists of partnering with other managers to learn about products, the company, and industry dynamics. Seminars at our corporate headquarters in Austin, MN will include presentations by different divisions to increase product knowledge, company knowledge, and leadership skills.

ADVANCEMENT:

Successful Production Managers will advance to lead supervisor, superintendent, plant manager, international, or operations coordinators in the Corporate Office.
