The foodservice industry includes restaurants, fast-food chains, hotels, hospitals, airline caterers, schools and more. As a Hormel Foods Foodservice Sales Representative, your customer accounts may range from colleges to contemporary restaurants like Famous Dave’s to major hotel chains like Marriott. That kind of diversity represents a real challenge and further broadens your experience.

Some foodservice accounts will be interested in ethnic food products such as House Of Tsang® sauces and marinades, while others will want to know more about Hormel® pepperoni—the number one pepperoni pizza topping in America. Your product lineup will be diverse, from standards like Cure 81® ham and Special Recipe® pork sausage to specially adapted foodservice items like Layout Pack® bacon and Sandwich Maker® sausage.

Your challenge and goal is to help your customers improve their operations by providing better quality, better tasting, distinctive products, helping them save on preparation costs through use of value-added products (versus lower-cost but labor-intensive items), and providing convenient portion sizes. The sharper your entrepreneurial skills, the more you'll enjoy the taste of success. Once your training is finished, you'll be promoted to Territory Manager, with full responsibility for a distributor and client group, for instance, a restaurant chain.

In Consumer Products Sales, you’ll practice the art of selling with some of the most renowned grocery products in America, from hot ethnic flavors such as Chi-Chi’s® salsa, House Of Tsang® sauces and marinades and Marrakesh Express® couscous to traditional staples such as the SPAM® family of products, Cure 81® ham and Wranglers® franks. Right from the start, the Hormel Foods name will give you an “in” with your customer.

As a Sales Representative with Hormel Foods Consumer Products Sales, you’ll have all the tools you need to succeed. Our brands not only offer a competitive edge, they’re also backed by solid marketing and advertising support. Always Tender® pork, Hormel® chili, Black Label® bacon, Little Sizzlers® pork sausage, Dinty Moore® stew, Hormel® pepperoni and deli-style products like Di Lusso® Genoa salami are sought after by consumers everywhere.
