Supply Chain & Logistics Management
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Supply Chain & Logistics Management team supervises and trains employees, coordinates in and out-bound shipments of product, analyzes least cost distribution methods and manages third party carriers to meet customer needs and assure that all products arrive safely and on time. Occasionally special projects come into play, such as tracking costs and implementing cost saving initiatives.
TRAINING: This position will start out in a manufacturing facility or distribution center environment to obtain the necessary skills to effectively manage people and get an understanding of how the distribution process is run. Seminars at our corporate headquarters in Austin, MN will include presentations by all our different divisions to increase company knowledge, leadership and technical skills. You will then receive hands-on training for 4-6 weeks with an experienced manager. Formal supervisory training and process control/product training will also be included.
ADVANCEMENT: Opportunities for advancement include Logistics/Inventory Management, Transportation Management or Purchasing Management positions within the same facility, another facility, or the Corporate Office. A background in distribution would enable Supply Chain & Logistics Managers to succeed in any area of Operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Preferred candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business, Agricultural Business, or Transportation/Logistics Management (or a related field) with a minimum 2.70 cumulative GPA requirement, and be open to relocation. Proven leadership, persuasiveness, initiative, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position. A requirement of this position is to be a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
