Hormel Foods Named One of America’s Best Big Companies
Hormel Foods was named to Forbes Magazine’s 400 Best Big Companies List in December 2008.
According to Forbes, 1,000 companies were analyzed to compile the list. To be eligible, a company must have revenue of more than $1 billion in the most recent fiscal year and a stock price of at least $5 per share. Companies are then assigned into 26 industries and ranked against their industry peers on five-year and 12-month sales and earnings growth and total return to shareholders. Forbes also considers a company's accounting and corporate governance practices.
