Inspired Giving

Being a good corporate citizen means doing our part every day to lift up our communities and to use our size and position as a global branded food company to make a difference through our philanthropic pillars of education, food security and community support. We couldn’t be more excited to kick off our first spotlight charities campaign of 2021 through our Inspired Giving platform that focuses on these areas.

The featured organizations for the campaign are the Savory Institute, Word Central Kitchen and Big Brothers Big Sisters International (see more information about each of these organizations below). Hormel Foods will match team member and retiree donations to these organizations (up to $5,000 total for each charity) through May 28, 2021. Your donation dollars go even further by participating in the campaign due to the company match so don’t miss out on this opportunity to support important causes.

Spotlight Charities

  • Savory Institute

The mission of the Savory Institute is to facilitate the large-scale regeneration of the world’s grasslands and the livelihoods of their inhabitants, through holistic management. According to the organization, regenerating ecosystems with a holistic approach requires not just land managers and animals; it requires conscious consumers, committed philanthropists, passionate advocates and visionary organizations all doing their part to support the boots-on-the-ground making a difference. Donations to this organization help support the Savory Global Network of learning hubs and educators, and as it grows, more farmers and ranchers receive holistic management training and more acreage is regenerated. • World Central Kitchen

World Central Kitchen (WCK) uses the power of food to nourish communities and strengthen economies through times of crisis and beyond. Founded by 2010 by celebrity chef José Andrés, when disaster strikes the organization’s chef relief team mobilizes to the front lines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provides meals to people in need. WCK’s resilience work advances human and environmental health, offers access to professional culinary training, creates jobs and improves food security for the people we serve. WCK has provided tens of millions of fresh, nourishing meals for communities around the world. For additional information, visit https://wck.org/.
