Inspired Giving

Being a good corporate citizen means doing our part every day to lift up our communities and to use our size and position as a global branded food company to make a difference through our philanthropic pillars of education, food security and community support. We couldn’t be more excited to kick off our first spotlight charities campaign through our new Inspired Giving platform!

Being a good corporate citizen means doing our part every day to lift up our communities and to use our size and position as a global branded food company to make a difference through our philanthropic pillars of education, food security and community support. We were thrilled by how well our initial Inspired Giving spotlight charities campaign was received by Hormel Foods team members raising more than $66,000 for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS), the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and UNCF. Thank you to everyone who contributed to these three worthy organizations.

Our next Inspired Giving spotlight charity for October is our very own Hormel Foods Crisis Assistance Relief Effort (CARE) Program. Details about the CARE Program can be found below. Hormel Foods will match our team member and retiree donations up to $20,000 through Oct. 31, 2020.

Thank you in advance for your support. Come on inspired team, let’s make a difference together and support our CARE Program!

Spotlight Charities

  • Hormel Foods Crisis Assistance Relief Effort (CARE) Program

The Crisis Assistance Relief Effort (CARE) Program is designed to help Hormel Foods team members and their families who are faced with financial hardship due to emergency situations such as help with housing in the case of a house fire or to offset costs of a funeral for an immediate family member. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fundraising efforts have been severely impacted. The CARE Program, which began in 2012, has helped more than 230 families and has provided over $340,000 in support. It is administered by the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation and is 100 percent funded by Hormel Foods team members. All contributions to the CARE Program are tax-deductible.
