Jennifer Johnson, director of business optimization for Hormel Foods Deli Solutions, and Evan Inada, associate brand manager of deli at Columbus Craft Meats were recognized with the new Champions of Change industry award from the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) and Winsight Grocery Business magazine.

The Champions of Change award was launched this year to recognize emerging and established leaders employed in the retail bakery, deli, foodservice and dairy sectors.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as a Champion of Change in the deli industry, as we know our retail partners expect us to be on the leading edge of ‘what’s next’ and help guide them into the future,” said Johnson. “I am proud to be part of an organization that is willing to listen to our retailers and consumers and embrace the change necessary to ensure our future success.”

“I feel fortunate to be in an always evolving industry that allows me to use my passions for art, food and emerging flavor trends in my everyday life,” said Inada. “Being supported by Deli Solutions to be a maverick, dreamer and artist in the workplace has allowed me to participate in the projects that have gotten me recognized for this award, and I am happy to represent the team.”

All nominations were carefully vetted and reviewed by a team of judges to determine the final winners circle, which was comprised of a slate of 50 industry leaders in two categories.
