Dold Foods Plans Expansion and New Job Opportunities

Dold Foods (Wichita, Kan.), the local manufacturing plant of Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE: HRL), announced plans today that it will add a 156,000 square-foot expansion to its location.

The planned expansion will be to add more production lines for the Hormel Foods bacon items produced at the facility which will help meet consumer demand for the products.

As a result of the planned expansion and new production lines, Dold Foods plans to hire approximately 380 new positions.

“We are thrilled to be able to grow our business here in Wichita and offer our community new job opportunities,” said Joe Peine, Dold Foods plant manager. “We have a dedicated team at Dold Foods and making this investment in our area will allow us to continue to add new team members.”

The planned expansion is scheduled to begin construction shortly with a targeted completion date in early 2019.

Employment applications for Dold Foods will be available around spring 2018 and can be obtained at the Kansas WorkForce location at 21st and Amidon in Wichita and at the Dold Foods location during active hiring periods.
