Hormel Foods Donation Helps Fight Hunger in Willmar

WILLMAR, Minn

Jennie-O Willmar Corporate Office, Benson Avenue Plant and Willmar Avenue Plant, the local manufacturing facility owned by Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE: HRL), announced today that it has donated $10,000 to the Kandiyohi County Food Shelf to help fight hunger in the community as part of the company’s Hunger Action Month efforts.

The Willmar locations has donated funds to this organization in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021.

“Supporting those in need is a passion and priority for our entire Willmar Plant team,” said John Hotek, plant manager of the Jennie-O Willmar plant. “As a food company, we are uniquely positioned to embrace the mission of fighting hunger in our community. We are proud to partner with the Kandiyohi County Food Shelf in providing some relief to those facing this challenge.”

This is the 12th consecutive year Hormel Foods has given funds to its locations to share with nonprofits in their respective communities to fight hunger. In 2021, Hormel Foods donated $370,000 to 44 local hunger-relief organizations. Through this program, disaster-relief efforts and other donations, Hormel Foods contributed $6.6 million in cash and product donations to help address hunger in 2021.
