Hormel Foods Corporation, a Fortune 500 global branded food company, today shared its 19th annual Global Impact Report. The report, available online, provides fiscal year 2024 progress through the lens of Good Feeds Us All, the company’s next-generation global impact framework.
“Good Feeds Us All evolved naturally and purposefully from our earlier 20 By 30 Challenge,” said Katie Clark, senior vice president and chief communications officer at Hormel Foods. “The 20 By 30 Challenge cast a wide net, which was reflective of where we were in our global impact journey at the time. Good Feeds Us All is now allowing us to organize and streamline our company’s global impact work under two interconnected pillars — planet and society — reflecting the ecosystems and people our business depends on every day.”
The framework articulates the company’s global impact initiatives, and powers meaningful action by:
- Reaffirming the company’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions within our operational boundary
- Conveying a clearer focus on responsible sourcing across the entire supply chain
- Enhancing objectives around consumers and product quality, ensuring delivery of trusted, high-quality food
- Outlining new initiatives to strengthen communities across the globe
“Hormel Foods has always been guided by a strong sense of purpose,” said Jeff Ettinger, interim chief executive officer for Hormel Foods. “Good Feeds Us All is one way we put that purpose into practice, bringing clarity to our global impact efforts. It demonstrates how our values shape the way we work and shows how we continue to evolve with the world around us, while staying true to the principles that have long defined us.”
“Today’s release of our Global Impact Report reflects our continued focus on what matters most, which includes supporting our team members and communities, advancing responsible practices across our supply chain and continuing to deliver trusted, high-quality food. We are committed to being stewards of good, because Good Feeds Us All,” said John Ghingo, president, Hormel Foods.
Among the company’s many notable accomplishments in 2024 are:
