Jennie O & Harrison Phillips Give Back to Veterans

Jennie-O has been donating turkeys left and right this holiday season, with more than 20,000 already given out to charitable causes.

Earlier this week, 200 of those turkeys were directed toward local veterans with a little help from a two time National Football’s Man of the Year nominee.

Harrison Phillips a defensive tackle for the Minnesota team and his foundation, Harrison’s Playmakers, collaborated with the Jennie-O® brand team Monday to distribute turkeys at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn. Phillips’ foundation sets out to positively shape and empower young people, including those with disabilities, and on Monday, Phillips was joined by a handful of his young “playmakers,” who helped hand out turkeys, snacks and grocery store gift cards to the veterans in attendance.

Phillips, who originally started his foundation while still a student athlete at Stanford University, has long made community outreach a top priority. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Jennie-O® team for contributing to this worthy cause.
