Ingredients

| 3 | tablespoons butter |
| ¼ | cup chopped yellow onion |
| 3 | tablespoons flour |
| 1 | cup dry white wine |
| 1½ | cups turkey or chicken broth |
| 2 | teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves |
| 2 | liters chopped fresh sage leaves |
| Salt and pepper, if desired |
Directions
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion. Cook for 7 to 9 minutes or until translucent. Whisk in flour. Cook 1 minute. Add wine. Cook 2 minutes, whisking constantly. Add broth, thyme and sage.
Bring to boil, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
