She has written about oncology, health insurance, diversity in medicine, medical humanities, end of life, mental health, culture, and more. Her writing has been published in the New York Times, The Atlantic, Tin House, and the San Francisco Chronicle, among other places, and her debut poetry collection Focal Point won the 2020 Steel Toe Books Poetry Award.
