Throughout the season, Hormel Foods unveiled team-inspired recipes showcasing all the ways fans can add excitement to their meals, game day snacks and tailgate foods with Hormel® chili.

No matter which team you’re cheering for on Sunday, you know that Hormel® chili will be a winner with all your fellow football fanatics with the following recipes inspired by the participants and host city of the biggest event in football.

K.C. Baked BBQ Chili Cheeseburger Sliders

  • 1 (12-count) package dinner rolls, not pulled apart
  • 1 pound lean ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 (15-ounce) can HORMEL® Chili with Beans
  • 1/2 cup barbeque sauce
  • 8 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray 13×9 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Slice sheet of dinner rolls in half horizontally. Place bottom half of rolls in prepared baking dish. Spoon cooked and drained ground beef on top of roll bottoms, spreading to cover. Top with chili and barbeque sauce. Top meat, chili and sauce with cheese slices. Cover with bun tops.

In small bowl, combine melted butter and parsley. Brush tops of buns with butter mixture. Bake 20 minutes or until cheese is melted, sliders are warmed through and bun tops are toasted.

Gameday San Francisco Sourdough Chili Dip

  • 2 small loaves sourdough bread rounds
  • 1 (15-ounce) can HORMEL® Chili with Beans
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small tomato, chopped
  • 3 green onions, sliced

Instructions

Heat oven to 300°F.

Slice off top third of 1 bread loaf. Hollow out the bottom, leaving a thick crust. Cut or tear other loaf into bite-sized pieces.

In saucepan, heat chili and cream cheese over medium heat until cream cheese is melted. Stir in chopped onion. Pour chili mixture into bread bowl.

Bake dip 30 minutes. Remove from oven; top with tomatoes. Bake 5 to 8 minutes longer. Top with green onions. Tear top of bread into pieces; place around loaf for dipping.

Magic City Chili Cheese Dogs

  • 8 hot dogs, cooked
  • 8 hot dog buns, split
  • 1 (15-ounce) can HORMEL® Chili No Beans, heated
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • For Mojo Caramelized Onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 white onions, thinly sliced
  • a pinch salt
  • 1/3 cup purchased mojo marinade
  • For Avocado Salsa
  • 2 avocados, peeled, pitted and diced
  • 1/3 cup cooked black beans
  • 1/3 cup chopped cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons minced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons minced pickled jalapeno peppers
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • to taste salt

Instructions

Place hot dogs in buns. Top with chili, cheese, Mojo Caramelized Onions and Avocado Black Bean Salsa.

Mojo Caramelized Onions

In large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add onions and salt. Cook 10 to 12 minutes, stirring frequently. Add mojo marinade and stir, scraping up the bits on bottom of skillet to deglaze pan. Reduce heat to low and cook 10 minutes or until mojo sauce is absorbed.

Avocado Salsa

In medium bowl, combine avocados, black beans, cilantro, red onion, jalapeno peppers, lime juice and salt.
