Hormel Foods Donates Three Semi-trailer Loads of Product for Tornado Relief Efforts in Southeastern United States

Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE: HRL) today announced a donation of three semi-trailer loads of Hormel® Compleats® microwave meals, which is about 165,000 meals, to Feeding America food banks to aid in relief efforts for Alabama and the southeastern United States impacted by the April 27 tornados.

“We extend our condolences to everyone who has been affected by this devastation,” said Jeffrey M. Ettinger, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer at Hormel Foods. “As relief efforts begin, we hope these meals will provide a source of nourishment.”

Hormel® Compleats® microwave meals are 10-ounce satisfying meals that feature quality chicken, beef or turkey as well as flavorful vegetables and pasta, potatoes or rice. They do not need to be frozen or refrigerated and can be microwaved in the tray in 90 seconds.
