Hormel Foods Donation Helps Fight Hunger in Alma

The Alma (Kan.) Plant of Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE:HRL) announced today that it will donate $5,000 to fight hunger in the Alma community.

Hormel Foods is donating $5,000 to the Community Health Ministry, a local charitable organization that distributes food to Alma’s hungry families.

“As a food company with deep roots in Alma, we feel it is important to help fight hunger in our community,” said Carl H. Haga, plant manager, Hormel Foods Alma Plant. “We hope this donation will help the Community Health Ministry continue the great work they are doing to feed the families in need in Alma.”

This donation from the Alma Plant is part of the commitment at Hormel Foods to nourish the hungry in the United States one community at a time. The company is giving funds to more than a dozen U.S. manufacturing facilities to share with nonprofits in their respective communities to fight hunger.
