Italian Paninos featuring COLUMBUS® Prosciutto are a great answer to any craving. Layered atop focaccia spread with truffle aioli, our prosciutto finds good company in pecorino cheese, tomato and arugula. They are a cinch to prepare and travel well for picnics or meals on the go.

Ingredients

 
1 (6-inch) rectangular piece focaccia
2 tablespoons truffle aioli
4 thin slices COLUMBUS® Prosciutto
2 thin slices pecorino cheese
2 tomato slices
¼ cup arugula leaves
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Split focaccia in half. Spread cut sides with aioli. Layer prosciutto, cheese, tomato and arugula on bottom half. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with top half of focaccia.

  2. Variations

    COLUMBUS® Mortadella, Calabrese pepper paste, burrata cheese and chopped pistachios.
    COLUMBUS® Italian Hot Capicola, fresh mozzarella, truffle aioli, arugula and tomato slices.
