Hormel Foods Enhances HORMEL® COMPLEATS® Products To Meet Consumer Tastes

The makers of Hormel® Compleats® products, America’s No. 1 shelf-stable microwave meal*, today announced enhancements in nearly two-thirds of the brand’s varieties to better align with evolving consumer taste expectations.

“We know Hormel® Compleats® meals solve a real need for consumers, including convenience, value and accessible quality,” said Meghan Baumann, brand manager at Hormel Foods. “However, our research identified several of our varieties had opportunities to become even more closely aligned with today’s consumer taste, texture and appearance expectations. With these changes, we are confident consumers will really enjoy a tasty and effortless meal that is ready in just 60 seconds with no prep or dirty dishes.”

Improvements to Hormel® Compleats® recipes, depending on the variety, include creamier mashed potatoes, further reductions in sodium, enhanced flavor and texture, increased amount and size of meat and overall appearance.

Additionally, consumers will now find a “No Artificial Ingredients” call-out on the front of all Hormel® Compleats® packages. While Hormel® Compleats® products have never included artificial ingredients, the call-out will remind consumers that the meals are made with real meat, potatoes, pasta and vegetables.

Hormel® Compleats® products that were not enhanced were identified by consumers as already fully optimized.
