How do I cook a JENNIE-O® OVEN READY™ turkey in a slow cooker?


Cooking your Jennie-O® Oven Ready™ turkey in a slow cooker is a great option! Follow our instructions below for preparing your turkey in a slow cooker for succulent, juicy meat.


  • Add one cup water to the bottom of slow cooker. Place turkey breast in the slow cooker. Cut three 1/2-inch slits in the top of the cooking bag. Cook for approximately 4 hours with the slow cooker on HIGH setting.
  • Turkey can also be cooked for approximately 8 hours with the slow cooker on LOW setting. Ensure the temperature reaches 165°F.

From a thawed state:

  • Can cook from a thawed state. Approximate cooking time is 1 hour or until a meat thermometer reaches an internal temp of 165 degrees
