Because employees are responsible for producing wholesome products, reducing environmental impact and ensuring their own safety, training is essential. Both professional and safety training allow employees to be confident in performing job requirements.

In order for our employees to grow professionally, we offer educational assistance, professional development programs and internal recruitment support for employees to advance within Hormel Foods.

Hormel Foods Pathways to Success

Based on employee feedback and aligned with our goal to continue to be a company where people aspire to work and build long-term careers, Hormel Foods has created the Pathways to Success development program for employees in several fields.

The Pathways to Success program:

  • Provides managers with a list of necessary core courses to develop employees.
  • Provides employees with the requirements necessary for development and certification.
  • Recognizes employees who successfully complete the required coursework and achieve certification (e.g., workgroup recognition, a certificate, certification listed in Performance Manager, etc.)

A pathway is a series and sequence of formal training courses for an employee in a particular functional area that leads to certification through learning key competencies. The program is designed to provide the right training at the right time to help employees be as successful as possible in their positions.

Pathways are currently offered for the following:
