In order to move to a carbon-neutral economy, Hormel Foods has joined thousands of other businesses and financial institutions that are working with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reduce emissions in line with climate science.

As part of our 20 By 30 Challenge, we have established a goal that demonstrates climate leadership through a science-based target for the reduction of GHG emissions by 2023.

We are proud to announce we have established validated goals to reduce by 50% absolute GHG emissions from our operations no later than 2030 (measured against a 2019 base year). Hormel Foods also promises to reduce absolute GHG emissions within our supply chain by 27.5% within the same time frame.
