As assistant controller at Hormel Foods, Eldon Quam oversee all financial operations for the Grocery Products and International segments, along with leading financial shared services, revenue and budgeting.

Quam joined the company in 1998 and held various accountant, auditor and controller roles at the Corporate Office and the company’s Austin, Minn., food manufacturing facility. He held the roles of chief financial officer for the company’s Applegate business in Bridgewater, N.J., and director of SEC compliance for the company before being named finance lead for the company’s Oracle implementation in 2019. Quam assumed his current role in 2020.

A Minnesota native, Quam grew up on a farm that has been in the family for over 100 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Concordia College (Moorhead, Minn.) and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA-inactive). Quam has served on the Accentra Credit Union Supervisory Committee, helped canvas for the United Way at the Hormel Foods Corporate Office, has been an active member on the Finance Committee at Zion Lutheran Church, and has volunteered his time coaching numerous youth sports.

Eldon and his wife, Lisa, have three children.
